FORMALISING OUR POSITION
To make the work we are doing in Romania legal we have to register as a Romanian business.  This means we can then own the land and the buildings as 'Growing Care SLL'  allowing us to work and trade in Romania and accept finance and aid direct from you and other people that want to help. Donations can also now be transferred to our Romanian bank account.  This has all now been achieved, thanks to our Lawyer in Constanta; Mr Bogdan Popescu, who studied law in the UK and is English speaking. The business has a board of English and Romanian people, working together for the good of the community.

PLANS FOR THE LAND
The 10 hectares of land we have is split by a track into a 6 hectare plot and a 4 hectare plot.  Half of a hectare on the 6 hectare plot is to become the garden, this is where we will build the house, the animal housing, and my vegetable plot and orchard.  The vegetable plot is already dug over ready for next spring- OH OK, I didn't dig it over, it was ploughed to give me a good start for next year.  We will grow 5.5 hectares of wheat and 4 hectares of oats for harvesting next year, if it is a good year we will have surplus crop (not needed for the feed of stock) to sell to pay for things like water and electricity.

DURING THE YEAR
We intend to end up with 50 hens for eggs, 50 chickens for meat, 8 goats and 8 pigs.  As the ages will vary we will be able to supply the feeding programs on a weekly basis and rotate the stock by breeding our own goats, pigs and chickens as well as having a vegetable plot of 79 meters by 25  meters.

You may have already read about our daily hot lunch scheme for the local school children. They use to go through the entire school day without a meal, eating just one meal with their families in the evening.

In all this project, with your help, we will be able to supply the food needs of at least some of the children, get them away from the rat race on the streets and give them a much better chance in life. The street children have very little apart from the companionship of their friends, who are all in a similar position, begging for scraps of food. They deserve so much more.
